Thanks
for visiting my site, if you’re looking for traditional art that is not what you will find here. Scroll saw art is not
found easily in the UK, it is mostly practiced in the USA. So if you’re looking for the unusual, come this way.
About Me
I am very proud
to say that I was born in a town called Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire, UK. Not too bad at school
but not a scholar. I left at the age of 15 did numerous jobs until my wife and I decided to become publicans. Running
a British pub is a hard life but very rewarding, we very lucking having a younge son who is my best friend
and insperation. I retired about 17 years ago through ill heath and I have not been able to work since then, but I have always
managed to keep myself until three years ago. We were on holiday in Tenerife and on the
last night I was taken ill and rushed into hospital. I had two operations, one of which I was told
by my son that the doctors didn't expect me to survive. I came home four weeks later too weak to walk. After three
weeks I was starting to get about reasonably well when one morning I woke up started to get out of bed and found I was
unable to stand on my left leg, later that day I was again admitted to hospital with deep vein thrombosis in my leg and
my lungs. Because of breathing difficulties, it left me unable to walk very far. You may ask what this has to do with my art,
well that’s how it all started, I was unable to carry on with my old interests as I was lacking in mobility. After searching
the net for a new interest I came across Scroll Saw Art which really intrigued me. I already had and old scroll
saw as that I used to make shepherds crooks and with help of a lot of newfound friends mostly from the USA I
started a fantastic journey, Scroll Sawing to which I am now addicted. I am 68 years old and really wished
I had found this craft a lot earlier. Everything you see on this site has been made by hand in my small workshop, if you’re
looking for something unique this is where you will find it. Enjoy your stay and thank you for visiting.

There are a few forms of this particular art form, one being the making of portraits from very high reserlution photos
The pictures below
are from a large selection of patterns I have to choose from, which grows every day.

Segmented
pictures can be made with the scroll saw, i.e. parts cut out and sanded and dyed to build up a 3D type picture
Next is
a creation I came up with myself to make a very unique picture, it’s what I call a puzzle picture.
Last but not least Upright Puzzles
